It all started with a simple email, “You been selected to be featured in People, We lost 100 Pounds.” Was this scam? I looked at email from the sender, Googled it and it sure seemed legit. I replied with an, “Absolutely!”
Few days later it all started to get real. I received another email asking me for all my sizes from head to toe. I have never actually been measured for clothing, so I measure numerous times just to make sure they all came out right. Then the question that got me all nervous, “Do you mind sending a full body picture of you shirtless”
A hundred different things started to run through my head, but I was not going to let this hinder my chances to be in a magazine, yet PEOPLE! So I snapped the picture and sent it.
The next thing I know I am receiving flight information. Miami!? What!? The shoot was going to be done in Miami! I was floored, but then realized, this will be done in swimsuit, shirtless and I had to get busy!!
The day came and I was headed to Miami! Fitting was held that afternoon and I have never seen as many boardshort in one place. Being the only guy, they starting fittings with me. I tried on “who knows” how many shorts.
Spray tan time! As soon as I got done with fitting, Jennifer Lee was there to get us all tanned up! Celebrity makeup artist! This is the lady that makes Jennifer Anniston look amazing and she is about to do my tan!
Shoot Day 1
It started with a super early call time. We all met in the lobby, got in the vehicle and headed to location. I had no idea where we were heading but I knew it was going to be awesome. We arrived, Golden Beach. We pulled up to a mansion and I hear, Eduardo the Hairstylist, say “this is where the Kardashians shot.” I was like what!! Time for hair, and my man Celebrity stylist Eduardo Garcia hooked me up!!
Time to Shoot! It was a awesome day full of fun with the other talents!!!
It was another early start on day two. This time we headed over to the amazing Map Production studio in South Beach. I would say studio shooting was a little more tedious work. It was more precise posing, but still loads of fun. They had music playing and everyone was in high spirits just having a great time. Crew made each and everyone of us, the talent, and feel special and just helped in any way possible!
